checking in .STL files into Vault

checking in .STL files into Vault

does anyone have any experince with checking .STL files into Vault right now , it defaults to .ipt or .iam or .ipn can I flag it so that it grabs .stl files or do I have to manually add thos files to the vault ?

Hi kesseltine,

If you want the raw STL file in Vault, you can simply just add the file to a folder in Vault Explorer (right click folder add file or drag and drop to the folder).  STL has no links so you can just add them that way.  If you open the STL or other neutral file in Inventor, the file will be translated to ipt, or iam etc...
