Check in of .idw causes crash and corrupt file

Hi

Working in a small company, doing design work for a big project.

Multiple users from several companies are connected, collaborating using vault over vpn (sonic wall)

Works good with all files except with .idw drawings, which during check in halts and crashes most of the time.

The problem seems to be more frequent during work hours, which points to it beeing Bandwith / latency related?

The problem is well known in all these companies working on the project but no one has found a solution.

Ofcoarse no one uses visual attachment etc stuff like that.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Wild arse guess. Assuming bandwith is the issue are you creating visualisation files (DWF's) during checkin? If yes try turning them off and checkin the IDW. Personally never had an issue but I am not doing it over VPN.
