Check in / keep checked out error

Hello All,
This function has never worked for us on our vault install. Whenever we are checking in a drawing, if we check the checkbox to "Keep checked out" we get an error. It states "a problem occurred wheil attempting to check in the file..... to the server. Would you like to continut checking in any remaining files? The server returned the following information: Error getting relative resource path."

Any Ideas on how we can fix this?
