We are moving our design data from another vault system to Autodesk Vault. To be able to do that we move all files to a client computer. We have something like 7500 inventor files to import to the vault. Our intention is to use Autoloader for importing these files. We have noticed that many loose links and missing files exist so the export to excel files have hade been fantastic...But we haven't got it working. We get the message "Can't start a instance of Microsoft Office Excel, please make sure that you have installed Microsoft office Excel correctly!". We have tested on several machines both with Swedish or English office installations.
Do anyone have had the same kind of problem? Have you been able to solve this and do you have had the possibility to create an excel file?
We use The latest XP version and Office professional.
Sorry for the late response. This can happen when the localization settings are not the same as the language of Office and/or the operating system installed. For example, if English OS and English Office but the localization on your PC is set to Swedish. Make sure that the localization and the languages of the OS and Office all match and give it another try.
