Jim,

A couple of questions just to make sure I understand your workflow
(precisely)..

- Do you only have one file open when doing this?
- When you check in a file, are you "deleting local copy" or using any of
the other Vault checkin options like Keep Checked Out?

Thanks,
Bob

Nevermind, Jim.. I can reproduce it easily. If the browser is docked it's
not a problem. If it's undocked, it closed when the file is closed/deleted
on checkin if that option is enabled. I'll have development look into this.

Thanks!

Bob,

Yes i am deleting local copy every time i check in and that is when the browser bar closes

as far as I can remember yes only one file is open so when i save , check in and delete local it closes but the panel bar stays open.........

I too have noticed this in Inventor 10 so I stopped checking the delete file
option. I am anxiously awaiting a workaround too.

For now the workaround is to dock the browser and not leave it undocked. As
long as the browser pane is docked within Inventor I don't see this
behavior.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob that kind of defeats the double monitor idea to some extent. I have inventor on one and the browser and panel bar on the other if i slide inventor over to the other screen then everything opens across both screens and gets lost to some extent. Hopefully now that you mentioned it to the tech guys they can make a fix that includes this issue.

Thanks for your help!

Understood guys. You want to maximiz the graphics for doing your Inventor
work and it's a pain to keep reopening the browser each time you
save/checkin/close your file(s).
