I'm trying to use Vault 2014 professional Autoloader to load into Vault an inventor drawing, this is to allow my
Templates to reside in Vault.
My vault consists of just a dummy set of data as I am still getting used to the system, it uses a single Inventor project to keep track of the folders.
When going through the Autoloader setup:
I select the folder with my file to upload.
I select the Project to use as my Vault working project.
The file scans OK, and it also has no errors with the duplicates.
Selecting Next button takes my to the vault login screen, here I can log in succesfully.
Then I get the following error: "Failed to create/update Inventor project file in the vault"
If I log into the vault and view my project file it was been checked out
I have tried everything I can think of to get around this 'Error' issue but so far no joy, does any one have any ideas please?
I can use the autoloader to import none cad related files, i.e. a word document no problem.
Thank you in advance

What is the name of the project you have in the Vault Explorer Client? Is it "Designs"? If yes can you please rename that and try?
You are correct my project was indeed called "Designs"! I have renamed it and voila! it now appears to work.
Thank you very much for your support
I know this issue is several months old, but can you explain how renaming the project file in the vault helps resolve the situation?
I have the same issue as described above. I will try to rename the vault project file and see if it works, but just want to understand how/why this would work.
Thanks.
Autoloader also uses the "Designs.ipj" projects. So if the you have that project already in Vault and that is not compatible - this happens if the versions are different - then Autoloader will fail with the following message. That's why renaming the existing one will help in uploading the new one.
Hope this helps.
If that project was not used anywhere you can delete it. Otherwise no harm in leaving it.
