Autoloader could not validate files

We are attempting to get our files uploaded to Vault and are running into problems with Autoloader.  Our reseller came to do the install and showed us how to use autoloader to upload everything.  Seemed easy enough.

Three days later we are still trying to get everything uploaded.  I'm not happy.  Help from the reseller is less than stellar.  ("Here's a white paper from Autodesk on Autoloader.")

Our biggest issue right now is that when we get to the end of the validation process, I get a message that says it couldn't validate the files.  I have no idea what files it has a problem with though.  Where is the log file?  It seems pretty stupid to me that it only logs successful uploads.

A few times I was able to press the back button then next again to recopy everything.  Sometimes it would go through and upload everything fine.  Now on the second pass, it crashes the program.

Any thoughts??

Hey there,

As a test can you try autoloading just model data (no idw's)?  I notice that there seems to be a bmp here perhaps linked to titleblocks inside of idw's.

This relates to an issue I have seen in the past.  Let me know the results.

Hello,

First, you can activate advance log with applying the registry key in attach. You can find in the ZIP the path to the logfile.

This can help you to know what cause this error,

As Allan write, it's mainly BMP files attached with a file (image in title block or texture used by a color in a file).

Thanks for the advanced log help.  I've attached the log file here.  Is the assembly file listed at the end the culprit?

If so, what can be done to remedy this?

"Autoloader could not validate files" has been an issue since I started working with Vault 2008. However, in most cases, the autoloader will contiinue  at if you go back and retry the operation. The reason why, I don't know...

Hitting back and then next again has worked a few times for me as well.  But when I try it on this project, it crashes the program midway through it's process.

Anyone have time to decypher the log I posted?  I'm not extremely familiar with the system yet.

Looking through the log I can see that there are a number of issues locating analysis files.  The autoloader is searching for these on Z: and returning that it can not open them.

The assembly file I see listed here is "MGG-1300 Container Frame Analysis.iam" - I would look to exclude this from the upload and attempt to load this manually.

Hallo everybody,

we tested again our Autodesk Vault Autoloader.

The imported files have relationships with Content Center files and with Library files.

I attached the documentation for you.

Result:

The Autodesk Vault Autoloader work with our test files.

When you have questions, then contact us.

Thanks,

Personally I avoid Autoloader to actually load the files due to these issue that arise with data.  I typically use the Autoloader to give me a report that takes me about 3-5 minutes to build from the exported Scan report to tell what the error is, whats missing, and the offending parents.  I then fix the files and usually use Task Scheduler instead to finish my load.  If the files end up getting fixed perfectly then I sometimes, I'll use Autoloader to put them in.

Just looking at your indepth log you have some FEA files on your parts causing issues too, I would go into those files and use the Links command to break those and going forward in your templates I would disable those links from being created.  I've attached a short whitepaper I wrote on that...

I know this is an old post, but I´m dealing with same problem "Could not validate"

Thanks to xavier to let us know how to get a log of Autoloader.

So, log is saying that D:\vt\Vault_Autoloader\Content Center Files\en-US\DIN 471(2)\DIN 471 - 16 x 1(1).ipt have invalid chars.

Question is, what char is invalid?

Initially was a pt-BR Content Center, then I moved to en-US, but no sucess, problem persist.

I can not even consider "(" or ")" as invalid because there are other files with these char but no error.

Searching about System.IO.Path.CheckInvalidPathChars, I found you can not have "<", ">", "|", double quote and chars less than decimal 32, and File Path does not have any.

Is there a work around for such issue?
I´m trying to use Autoloader in Vault Basic 2018, but stuck on this.
Autoloader, copy all files to temp folder (D:\vt) then start checking each file but at end stops with "Could not validade"

Below what i get from log
