Autoloader 2009 problem (HRESULT error) - autoload_bug.png [1/1]

Hi, when I try to import few Inventor files (Padlock samples) to Vault 2009 via Autoloader, I
get following error:

Autoloader
The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

(see png picture)

The pre-scan's of 43 "padlock" sample files, went fine

Hi again, I forgot to mention, that Vault, ADMS & Inventor 2009 SP1 is installed on a local PC,
using Autodesk web server.
When starting ADMS & Vault (logged in as administrator (default)) I can, see their services are
running fine. but the autoloader, just hangs forever with the HRESULT error as described

Hi,
Can you send us the log file of autoloader, this will help our diagnose:

To create a detailed log file

  1. On the Start menu (Windows), click Run.
  2. In the Run dialog box, enter regedit.
  3. In the Registry Editor, locate the following key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk key
  4. If this key does not exist, create a new key called Autoloader.
  5. Under Autoloader, create a new key called Current Version.
  6. Create a new DWORD value named LogLevel and set its value to 2.
When you run the Autoloader, a log file named AutoloaderTrace<date>.log will be created in the C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp folder.

Or you can log a service request if you are subscription user or log it through your reseller. Our support team will help you.

Regards,
Polo

Hi Polo thanx for your reply.

The log only contained following:
20-10-08 18:20:26 Start to scan files
20-10-08 18:20:34 Finish scanning files
20-10-08 18:21:03 Start to copy, redirect, validate and conflict check files

I checkked event viewer (see pictures in zip) and noticed a warning regarding MSSQL, however
the process was up running

Vault status seen from Inventor 2009 was "connected"

I have Inventor R11, 2008 & 2009 on the same PC, but that shouldn't disturb anything??

From Process Explorer, I could see that some threads from Autoloader, had the state:
Wait: UserRequest (see pictures in zip)

I was wondering a little bit about that ???

Hi, I just made some logs with filemon & regmon from sysinternals, regarding autoloader.exe
activities, see attached zip-file.

Hope someone have some clues about the error 🙂

Hello,
Could you try this:
1.Run inventor first, then run Autoloader.
2.Repair or Re-install the application.

Please let me know if this not works, I will forward your issue to our tech team.

Regards,
Polo

Tried both 1 & 2 without luck. I did the repair for ADMS 2009 & Vault 2009

Repair log files is in a zip file, see sendspace link below:

Further investigation points to a problem with SQL-server, in my case i'm using the free MS SQL
2000 Desktop Engine build 8.00.2039 that came from my AIS DVD.

A google search for:
error hresult sql "specified module"

Provides quite some links.

This file should be residing in the Inventor "bin" directory. Could you please ensure that this file is in the directory? Regards, Keng Leng -- Edited by: Discussion_Admin on Oct 23, 2008 10:09 AM

Hi Keng

I looked searched in the log-files. The references to fbp.dll I found, told the file was
existing???
Which file & line number are you refering to??

I checked and could verify that fbp.dll is in the bin dir.

A strange thing is that there are quite many dll duplicates (incl. fbp.dll), but in different
versions & timestamps, see attached screenshot from a synchronizer (I didn't synchronize,
however)

In your attached file, Filemon_autoloader.log, fbp.dll is reported not
found starting from line 9908. Its a bit odd that your Inventor directory
was not probed for
the file. As a workaround, you might want to consider adding Inventor bin
directory to your system path environment and see if that works for you.
