Autodesk Data Management Server Console 2015 OS Requirement - Vault Pro.

Greetings Experts

There are some Vault Pro. 2015 enhancements that a customer needs, but analyzing the new technical requirements of ADMSC2015, is mandatory the purchase of Windows Server OS, (currently they are using Windows 7 - VP2014). The reason for this change, I know are stability, performance and other facts.

If any Autodesk employee can answer the question more technically, it will be appreciated.

Hi,

Yes I already know these requeriments, but...my customer needs to know why he has to purchase a license of windows server 2012 and He can't use your current windows 7 professional license with AIP2015?. Why autodesk changed this requeriment?

You pretty much already have the right reasons.  Windows Server operating systems are design to handle complex server applications and simultaneous user connections better than workstation operating systems.  To provide the best user experience we want to make sure that it is installed on the best platform to provide that experience and needs of a server based application.
