Attachments in Thin Client Issue

It seems if I select an idw attachment within an item, it tries to open the idw file instead of the dwf file?

Need help here thanks.

Paul

Hi Paul,

Could you check if the idw has its own DWF generated?

If not, you might have to turn on 'Create Visualisation Attachment' while checking-in the design data from from inventor.

Hi Paul,

We're bringing this setting 'to restrict downlaod of [design] file with visualisation attachment' in Vault 2015 release, which will serve this requirement.

You might want to to turn it on, and re-examine the behaviour.

Hi Chear

Sorry for the confusion. Are you saying I need to upgrade to 2015 to see the dwf file?

Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,

Yup.

You may use the setting to determine if your user could download (see) visualisation attachment or design data.
