ATTACHING VAULTS AFTER REINSTALLING VAULT 2013

Hi, Experts

I have a customer that had a problem with de Autodesk Vault application server. He had to reinstall it and obviously there was no chance to use the dettach command from the console in order to unload the vault or use a full backup.

Currently, He has the filestore and databases in different servers. I know that a full backup is best option to restore the system, but in this case, the last one is outdated.

My question is: Is there any problem to use the attach command using the current mdf, ldf files and filestore folder?. Do you know other method to recover the system with these conditions?

Any other suggestion it will be appreciated.

Thanks!

While its not the preffered way, it can be done.

Make sure you have the KnowledgeVaultMaster MDF and LDF as well, as your Vault should always stay with the KnowledgeVaultMaster it was created with.
