I often see this problem. In Inventoer the Place From Vault is not an option in the ribbon flyout. I've tried log out & in and even restart but no good. I have to use Place an then use the Vault option in the Quick Launch. A few more clicks but that's not the issue which is repeatability and training. I'm not sure if this is a Vault or Inventor problem. Any ideas?
Not sure about IV 2014, but I see it in 2015.
