Advanced Config Guide - ADMS 2009?

Is this document available on the AutoDesk website? If so, where?

Yes, it is available on the Autodesk website. You can find it under
Services & Support>Autodesk Vault. At the bottom of the list is "Advanced
Configuration Guide for Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS)".

I have provided the link here as well:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=5477548&linkID=9261340

Regards,
Adam

Adam,

The link you provided is for ADMS 2008, not 2009. Is there no difference between PS 2008 and 2009 as far as advanced configuration is concerned?

Thank you.

Isn't Active Directory integration a new feature? I can't find any info anywhere as to how to set this up.

AD is a new feature in PS 2009. It's very logical and easy to configure -
check out the ADMS console...

Unfortunately, the documentation doesn't mention that this is only a feature of Productstream, not of Vault.

Just FYI...

We found out the HARD way that there's a 40 character limit on imported Active Directory group names.

You get no warning when importing the groups, but synchronization is broken and you can't delete or rename the groups.

MAKE SURE you import no groups with names longer than 40 characters.

Steve
