Add hyperlinks in an excel file to open webclient visualization

Hi,

In the past our company had a shared DWF publish folder where from which employees could access the files using design review. In addition to this we had a master register which constisted of a list of all part numbers with hyperlinks to the files in the DWF publish folder.

We have since moved over to Vault Pro and addopted the webviewer for access to the files instead of the shared publish folder. We now need to find a way to replace the existing hyperlinks in the excel register with new links to the webclient files.

Is there a way that this can be done.

Also is there a way to export a spreadsheet or report from vault which will list all the file names, with part numbers, description and vault id. One of our employees thinks he may be able to use this information to run a utility which may replace the hyperlinks in the excel file.

Thanks,

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

there is no way where you could achieve this in the standard product.

Maybe there is some way through Vault API.

If you are familiar please consider to post this in out Vault Customization forum
