Access Problems with Vault

We're testing & evaluating Vault on a new server, (in combination with new workstations) and encounter now and then some access problems (logging in Vault Explorer, or logging in within Inventor), also we got some signals that system is busy, anyone saw such problems before, knows the cause, and solution for this "problem"

Jean,

Is Thermeq_he06 a remote computer?
Have you checked to verify that your local or remote firewall isn't blocking
port 80?

Try http://Thermeq_he06 at your client and server computers.
Then try http://Thermeq_06/autodeskdm/services/securityservice.asmx at you
client and server computers.

A website should show up on both computers. Let me know the results.

Irvin,

Thanks for your reaction

1st Thermeq_he06 is a new server we are testing, which is already in our network, but not officially released for production purposes (if everything goes well it'll be active next Saturday).

Our system manager used http://Thermeq_he06 and http://Thermeq_06/autodeskdm/services/securityservice.asmx from his Client Notebook, no problems so far.

Our system manager has questions if the backup software we are using on our servers (Veritas from Symantec) can cause the problem, because he has also some problems with that software.

This morning we had same problems, but as I told it to our System Manager he "disabled" Veritas, and at this moment we've no problems logging in (He'll keep Veritas for some days disabled to see what happens)

But as told before it occurs now and then.

The message "Server Busy (Caused by Vault ?)" occurs if Inventor & Vault are "running" (maybe also caused by Veritas?, Who Knows?)

Thanks & Greetings,
Jean V
===== P.S. ============================================
I also placed a posting in Inventor Group & Vault group concerning "Inventor/Vault Directory Mappings"
with only one reaction(?) maybe one of the Autodesk engineers / developers Can have a "quick" look at that.

again
Thanks & Greetings,

Irvin,

Oops to quick responded/reacted??

Just logged in to Inventor Vault Client (with a Active Vault project), I wanted to Browse to Vault to open a file and there I got another message (see attachment Word Document with Multiple Screen Shots & comments)

It looks somewhere some Vault connections are getting lost
(using Eplorer I still can browse to server Thermeq_he06)

Thanks & Greetings,
Jean V

Irvin,

during my quest for the reasons of our problems hereby (2nd) more / additional info, hope it'll help to find out what our problems are

attached you'll find the log-file generated by DiagTool
hopefully you'll find sufficient info in it

if the problems as they occur now, it could/would be a
NO-GO item for us

Jean,

Did you by chance install Vault SP2 on the Server and not on the Client? Or
maybe on the Client and not on the Server?
Try to install them again on both the Server and the Clients. If they are
already installed the SP will tell you and it will not install again.

If you still can not get it to work, can you log a Support Request on the
Autodesk Subscription website? I assume you or your company is under
subscription.
