Vault Professional Connected Groups Error

Hi, Dear All,

We are testing Connected groups and meet a problem.

the Server Status is:

Publisher:

Win7 SC 32bit/SQL Server 2008 R2 SC/Vault Professional ENG/Firewall off

Subscriber:

Win2003 Server ENG 32bit/SQL Server 2008 R2 ENG/Vault Professional ENG/FireAll off

We also had add port/probram exception for the fireall, and can enable the workgroup replicaion. but failed to add workgroup, the error message is: Invalid database login.

But we can connected with SQL Server Managerment tools, as the picture of attchement. the SQL Server Version had a little different.

Our Question:

if we want to use the connected workgroup, should the OS system/SQL Server/Vault Professional be same service pack and language pack, if not, what reason cause the login error?

we found the reason, it's should be use SA accout for the Remote SQL Credentials. then a warning dialog about the SQL different version, download a SP and updade it, done.

Just to let you know, we do not support Windows 7 in a replication environment.

what are the recommened system? windows server 2003 or 2008?
