Issue checking files into Vault 2011

We have a client who is having issues checking a file into Vault 2011. Some files check in while others have issues. It does not appear to be any particular file as a file that was previously giving an issue could be checked in. but then we try that very file again and it will have an issue checking in.

Can someone shed any light on this?  - Robert

What error message are you getting, when checking in the document?

No error it just crashes. see below:

Vault will begin checking in the file only to eventually stop and crash Inventor. You then need to restart Inventor, pull the drawing back up, log back into Vault, and either try to check it in again or not.

Just now, on the twenty-third try, Vault successfully checked in the drawing file without issue.

What do think could be causing this?

Thanks - Robert

I also notice that after running a defrag of the database nultiple time it still states that it needs to be defragged. Could this be impacting the check in and check out feature?

We are receiving this message while checking in a file that fails to check in. It is not a file size issue as we areable to check in larger files. Can anyone help us with this? - Robert

I am running Autodesk Vault 2011. From what I understand this only applies to Collaboration, Professional, and Workgroup platforms. Can you give me an alternate solution for this? - Robert
