Error 26002: failed to read IIsWebs Table during uninstall

I am removing an old ADMS 2008 install on a server.

It fails during committing IIS MEtabase Transaction with an error message

error 26002: failed to read IISWebs Table during uninstall.

I need to free up space on this server, and would really like to get rid of ADMS.
Any suggestions?

Hi Master,

Could you please have a try disabling the User Account Control or any Anti-virus?

If it still doesn't work, please attach the uninstall log file, hope we can get more information from that.

You may find out the log file in temp folder (input %temp% in Run to quick open)

Thanks

Hi Erines, please also try disabling the User Account Control if running Windows Vista and install 2010 update 1 again.

Thanks

ADMS 2008 is installed on Windows Server 2003.

User account control is only available in client OS.

There is no anti-virus software on the server.

Attached is the uninstall log.

Thanks Master,

From the uninstall log file we found that seems there is no valid Web Site in this OS, maybe it's deleted or it doesn't work properly. If delele the "Default Web Site", we can get the same error message as this one in our testing environment and after added a new Web Site manually, any name is OK, PS 2008 can be uninstalled sucessfully.

Could you please verify and try this workaround in your machine? And let us know if it doesn't work.

Thanks,
-Henry

The uninstall can't find the ADMS website because is was on a different port than 80.

Temporarily moved it to port 80 to allow the uninstall to proceed, it worked.

Thanks
