Hi,
I'm contemplating creating an add-in for my Vault 2013 Pro but after reading an archaic document written back in 2008, it appears you need to apply to Autodesk to get a license to run your customisation otherwise a label <Unlicensed> appears.
Is this still the case in the current API? I'm sure there are costs involved!!
I don't really want to go through creating anything useful only to find out Autodesk controls whether I can use it or not....
Thanks

That document is out of date. The <Unlicensed> was used for only one release and is long gone now. Any commands you write in Vault 2013 Pro will be fully working. You don't need to apply for a license, and there is no fee for writing a Vault plug-in.
The Vault SDK, which is included with the Vault install, contains everything you need to start writing plug-ins.
That's brilliant, thanks for clearing this up Doug 🙂
As you can imagine, I've had that document some time and was hoping there was an update somewhere!! I'll take a look at the chm in the SDK folder.
Thanks again.
