Copy Project and Data Standard

Good Morning,

I've always seen the limitation of the Copy Design in autocad DWG Vault.

When I copy a autocad dwg I would like a property "Codice" was updated with the new file name.
Thanks to Marco Mirandola I could perform this mapping to create a new file.
But it would be also possible to link the procedure to copy a file with copy design or modification to the window data standard?

Hi Bruno, Copy Design is a "black box". You cannot change the behavior of the Copy Design dialog, however it is possible to interact before and after the dialog. Unfortunately Data Standard cannot help you on this topic. In order to perform actions after the Copy Design, you need to use the full Vault API and hook the according event.

So, what you are looking for is possible, but with the full API.

I have not investigated the flexibility of the new Copy Design in Vault 2015 R2. Maybe there is more flexibility there, but I guess you will need the fully API.
