Started taking Drafting classes in HS, continued in College. After college I worked on the board for about 10 years and began learning AutoCAD R8 in 1988. I have been using AutoCAD ever since for industrial piping design for electric generating stations (coal), DoD projects, pulp and paper projects, and for the semi-conductor industry. I have worked for several international engineering firms as well as working direct at an electric utility coal fired plant and also several semi-conductor manufacturers.
I model in 3D in AutoCAD for a lot of projects and began using Inventor a few years ago. I am slowly learning Inventor and making the transition where I can for machined parts, etc. where IV makes sense rather than AutoCAD.
