Riddles: What Am I?

I travel around the world, yet I remain in the corner. What am I?

I can sizzle like bacon, I am made with an egg.

I have plenty of backbone, but lack a good leg.

I peel layers like onions, but still remain whole.

I can be long like a flagpole, yet still fit in a hole. What am I?

I drink and I drink and I drink, more than my share until I'm packed.

It's not until I am pressed that I give any of it back. What am I?

With metal fangs I lie in wait, I need not stealth nor bait.

My prey comes but never alone, and to all I take vicious hold.

I bring them together like glue, and escape me they all do. What am I?

I have no edges yet sharp I can be, and with no form even flat, you see.

I can be held but not touched, I can be hit but not clutched. What am I?

I would say it has "legs", not "feet", but I guess that can be argued. Regardless, there's another answer that I seek.

You're the arbitrator. While I'll assure you that a (Survey) tripod has both legs and feet. The answer you seek may be a stick that has 3 feet in every yard.

Are we still waiting on this one?

Best I can come up with is sleep, but doesn't feel like it quite fits being 'always entirely unknown'; unless you count just while you're doing it you don't know that you're sleeping.  And you could be judged for napping at work....but I feel like I'm pushing it a little.

I often laugh about the phrase "Ignorance is Bliss." It may be blissful for the ignorant but it annoys the hell out of the rest of us...

Here's a couple more. When answering, put your answer in a spoiler tag, perhaps?

Upon four legs I stand, but a single foot I have. What am I?

I have a face, but cannot see or speak. I make a noise, but it's very meek.

I have hands, to me they're useless. I do not talk but tell you this. What am I?

I can be fat and I can be slim. I cannot last, it's getting dim.

I can be short and I can be tall. That sets my lifespan, after all. What am I?

I am everywhere but not the same. I go by many, many countless names.

If it's some trouble you're in, all I have is my shoulder to lend. What am I?
