No More Kudos in The Break Room

Hi everyone,

When we first launched The Break Room, some of our most trusted community members brought up the very important point that giving and receiving Kudos on this board could unfairly bump someone up the ranks if they're participating here more than elsewhere in the forums. Unsurprisingly, our community members want to earn their stripes around here fairly, and we find that extremely commendable.

So, in the interest of maintaining a system that rewards people for their knowledge and willingness to ask and answer questions, we've decided to turn off the Kudos functionality on this board. Hopefully this helps folks feel even better about stopping by for a quick break. And thank you to those who brought this issue forward to be addressed!

What about solutions?

Great question! Just disabled that, too. Accepted Solutions really don't make sense on this board!

Personally, I would have liked to still use kudos and solutions on the board, but just have them not count towards a person's overall 'reputation'.  But if that was impossible or very impractable, the way you've done it is good too.

I guess there will be more Replies giving Kudos to thoughts that put a smile on my face here and in the EE Forum.
