Would be nicer if the logo had a unique body on the composition, like this image attached.

The new logo showed up on the autodesk website!  The new website surprised me this morning 🙂

The webcast with Autodesk SVP Amar this morning was awesome!!  Can't wait to try these new 2014 stuff!!  The new stuff included in all the suites like Raster Design and etc makes it an even better value!

Ugh....I was so looking forward to seeing that webcast this morning and sure enough, I get into the office and the freaking network is down!

Just came back online a few moments ago.

I hope the webcast is saved somewhere so I can view it now.

Oh yes... must watch!!  They're doing a re-run loop now at the same place... http://www.livestream.com/autodesk

(I was already looking into my autodesk 360/subscription account to see if the 2014 suite is available for download lol.)

Marvelous! I love being given technology and then blocked from using it!!!

Yeah, I hate to miss those, but, we've been doing a bunch of moves and that's meant people in and out of the engineering offices all day. Yack.

Anyone else think it looks almost identical to the adobe logo? I like it, but it's just a bit too similar for my liking.

There are some that have suggested that I's a combination of the Adobe logo and the Google Drive Logo.

hmmm yeah both logos generally look alike.

Autodesk logo = 3D with lighting/shading
Adobe logo = just LT 🙂

What's the name of the font that Autodesk is now using?

Consider - both would have been designed by graphic artists, educated/trained at approximately the same time, in the same culture, with the same popular references.  In their jobs its important to stay current with trends, the way AutoCAD workers try to stay current with technology.  Under those circumstances its not unusual to have similar end results the same way many advertisements from the 60's, 80's, or other eras look similar today.

Here's another similar one.  Someone posted this in the Discussion Groups Feedback group:

I'd like to see that one in 3D. Looks almost like a Mobius strip.
