Happiness is not....

Deleting down to the bare bones, an 18 page ladder schematic that was in the Vault "Approved for Construction"..... because the engineer made so many changes that it was unrecognizable, and starting from scratch was really the only alternative.  40 hours or more down the hole, and another 40 that I do not have to do it over.


This is NOT happiness.

Intertia.  That, and it means his schedule isn't showing the impact (but yours is) aka "I'm not the one holding up the schedule!".  Time to break out the change management documentation.  Sometimes the mere threat of extra paperwork is enough to keep the change hounds at bay.

Sometimes the threat of the extra (paper) work is enough to keep a lousy design flailing along for far too long.
