Failed License Acquisition

O.K...so I'm working on my roundtable topic:

Exporting from Revit to AutoCAD for Collaboration purposes

and decide to check something with AutoCAD & Revit and I get nothing to work because the licenses are not active (borrowed).

So, why "AFTER" borrowing a license as an administrator does the program fail (because of not having a license). I've done this a billion times and it always seem to fail AT THE TIMES YOU NEED IT MOST (like when you are in a coordination meeting) or at home trying to fix something for work the next day.

Just asking.... smileyfrustrated:

Is this a rhetorical question, or are you seeking technical assistance?   If technical, you should probably ask in the Installation & Licensing forum.  http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/bd-p/24

Someone stuck this notice on our plotter in the office:

Machine Breakdown

This machine is subject to breakdown during periods of critical need.

A special circuit in the machine called a "critical detector" senses the operator's emotional state in terms of how desperate he or she is to use this machine.

The "critical detector" then creates a malfunction proportional to the desperation of the operator. Threatening the machine with violence will only aggravate the situation. Likewise, attempts to use another machine may cause it to also malfunction. (They belong to the same union.) Keep cool and say nice things to the machine. Nothing else seems to work. Never let anything mechanical know you are in a hurry.

Well... since you asked....:smileyhappy:

I didn't expect to get a technical anser here..

Espcially since I was just trying to make the most of some downtime at home.

It really was just supposed to be a gripe, or rant.

BTW.. I did post a ticket or request today since I'm in the office.
