Test Level Window Fatal Error~

After playing with lua in stingray,I got a fatal error for the test level window...

The last time befor this error occurs is when i was trying to print same table information in the Project.update(dt) function.

When reinstalled ,this error continues...Is this a bug?

Hi Woogway,

Does your project name or path possibly have any spaces or special characters in it? (We recently fixed an issue where the same error occurred on opening the legacy level editor if the project name or path contained a space.) Does this problem happen for any project (for example the basic template) for you?

If it only happens with a specific project, and it's not due to having spaces in the name, would you be able to zip up and upload your project somewhere for us to try to troubleshoot this?

Hi~ after checking my project path and name,I'm sure there are no spaces or special characters in it,and this fatal error occurs for any project even though when I create a totally new project from the template.

Thanks for checking that. Did Test Level previously work for you with 1.1.247.0?

Your screenshot shows a Test Level window icon in the taskbar but no Test Level window. There is an issue that we will fix where right-clicking on that taskbar icon and then clicking its "Stingray Engine" menu item causes the same error message you got. Could that be what happened in your case?

If that was what happened, and if the Test Level window taskbar icon appears but not the window itself, a workaround to try is to hold down the Windows key while pressing either the left or right arrow key a few times until the window gets moved onto your screen.

Another thing to possibly try is removing or renaming your %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\Stingray\Settings folder and restarting the Stingray editor to see if that makes a difference.

@Anonymous Close Stingray and delete the editor.config at C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Stingray\Settings\editor.config.  This will reset a number of settings for Stingray, one of which being the position of the Test Level window. That should be a workaround to solve your issue for now. Please let us know if that does not work for you.

Thanks for reply! actually the icon in the taskbar is a error window ,it's a popup window with the error message that i posted before.
