Android non-tegra platform option?

Hi,

I see here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/Stingray/ENU/?guid=__developer_getting_started_software_requirements_h...

"Tegra Android Development Pack"

Will StingRay support non-Tegra devices?

Also what is the minimum Android API level supported by StingRay?

Thanks

EDIT:  Just to note that we prefer to develop for as many Android devices as possible including Samsung, LG, generics ( like Verizion owned devices ), etc.  ( also if possible to the BlackBerry, and Kindle devices )

Hi,

For V1.0, we didn't have time to add more device compatibility, but of course we'll add many many more over time. We are currently working on it, however I don't have a list to share just yet. Right now we are only compatible with Tegra K1 chipsets.

The fact that we use the Tegra Android Development Pack to build the engine is just because it has a nice Visual Studio integration as well as CMake support. It doesn't prevent us from supporting other devices. Actually, NVidia recently renamed that package to AndroidWorks. We will also update to that package eventually.

Stingray currently targets API 21 (min 19).

Cheers!

Hmm, sometimes I don't really get it.

Autodesk is a big company, with many resources. Why all your first releases have some flows and issues? I'm not talking only about bugs, although I'm not sure if some one does QA by Autodesk. Crashing engine because the system language isn't English is absolute no go!

But besides all the first bugs, every product that have something to do with games, is half done solution. Scaleform Unity, was a disaster and was a main reason, why our game, made complete with Scaleform, still unreleased. Now Stingray Engine.

iOS Support without Game Center support, Android is Tegra only and without Game Play Services. To be honest, but why add support to mobile anyway if it's complete useless?

At the moment, I don't see any reason to use Stingray and switch from Unity or Unreal.
