Trying to start up Smoke 2015-3 I suddenly get the message:
"Smoke was unable to get a license"
The license server is not running.
And indeed the License server (ADLM) is giving a red sign.
I have no idea to get this straight. I'm running OSX 10.8.5 From the forum I get the idea that it might have to do with the network port. I changed it last weekend, but after that Smoke has been running fine several days.
Is there someone who knows how to solve this?
Just giving it a chance, I inactivated the network port, rebooted and after that Smoke seems to work fine again.
Weird,
but happy.
Hi,
What happened to your computer? does it have new network ports? licensing is based of the MAC address of your primary ethernet port.
Can you post the first 3 lines of your license? /usr/local/flexnetserver/adsk_server.lic
Also attach the adlm logs.
/var/log/autodesk/adlm_flexnetserver.log
/var/log/autodesk/Adlm.log
Finally, send the output of the terminal command
ifconfig
cheers
SERVER localhost e80688ca206c
USE_SERVER
VENDOR adskflex port=2080
Thanx for helping me out.
Hi,
Looks like you sorted it out. The license server log shows it working fine.
Was Ethernet1 (en0) not active before?
cheers
