So today I used push pull and fusion crashed.
I tested it four times in a row, and each time, it crashes.
Pretty funny, right?
It actually is funny, but it's hurting productivity. 🙂

Hi if you are using Apple Computers and you had "Gesture Base.." selected it will hurt performance. The Fusion team already knew about this and was treating that as top priority in the next update (In a different Post.). If that is the case please unselect that option at "Preference".
No, I don't think you'll get an email. You get a web page thanking you for submitting and providing the CER number.
I have not reported one in a while. Thats a good thing 😉
Hi Jeff,
Went back into Fusion and it seems to be working now... might be worth looking into for others!
Had this happen again, and it was repeatable again.
It seems to only happen if you try to extrude without first ending the sketch. I'm not certain on that though.

Now for the scolding:
Get your act together, Fusion team! I'm a student paying for Ultimate, this isn't pocket change for me! I love the idea behind the software but the little annoyances, poor stability, and worthless drawings means I cannot reccommend Ultimate unless they were lucky enough to get in at Basic pricing. You guys have provided awesome support but for myself and I'm sure many others this is turning into a huge investment in terms of wasted time and frustration. Some of my basic designs are up to version 60 and above because I save after darn near every operation I do. I have no confidence that it wont eat my work. And since this stuff is on the cloud, I have no confidence that it wont eat my files.
Luke,
I see you are running a Windows operating system. What graphics card and driver version are you using? When's the last time you updated the graphics driver?
To verify this info:
1. Launch %windir%\system32\msinfo32.exe
2. Check the Dispaly panel for the Name and Driver (Version and Date)
If your graphics driver is older than 6 months, you may want to go to the manufacturer's website and update the driver. Fusion 360 (like all CAD software) can be very sensitive to the graphics driver.
Another tip that may help, is to launch the Graphics Diagnostics command from the help drop down menu.
Then check the "Limit all effects to provide optimum performance" check box.
Also, as a student, are you aware that you qualify for a free 3 year license of Fusion 360? See the below links for more information.

Or
Thanks,
Hi Nathan,
I'm fairly certain that when I signed up for Ultimate this was not an option. I decided to go for the $300/yr promotion because that is four years for the price of one after graduation. That, and I do use Fusion to make money, so I'm pretty certain I can't use a student version anyway. Maybe I'm wrong.
Hi Nathan,
Had this happen four times in a row on Mac side. Three times with a revolve and once with a push/pull.
Here's one video from that set of crashes.
Surely I can't be the only one having these issues on two different operating systems.

Are you submitting the CER's? I might be able to review the report to determine what is the cause of the crash. I see the ones that you have submitted so far and I have a suggestion, but it is a bit of a guess....
I would be curious to see if you can reproduce the issue with the window NOT maximized. I suspect this may be related to a known issue, but I cannot be sure. What does "crash after manual NC on mac" mean?
One other tip, may be to upgrade from Mac OS 10.8.5 to Yosemite. I've seen a few issues come across that are specific to the older OS and aren't present in the newer ones.
Thanks,
Hi Nate, that one was for a different crash, something to do with CAM. That's been handled in another thread. 🙂
I'd rather not update Mac OS but I will if you honestly think it's going to make a big difference for stability of Fusion.
Thanks for sharing the screencast recording. The submitted error report revealed an issue that impacts Fusion 360 while Autodesk Screencast is in use. Development team is investigating this for the cause and a solution. I'll will circle back with more information as it becomes available.
Thanks,
Woop!
I always have Screencast open in the background. Glad to hear you guys are making headway on this. Thanks!
