Where is the threaded hole feature?
Do I need to find my old Starrett tap drill card?
And how do I place several holes at once?

Don't know if this the only or best way, but I make holes first, then apply threads to the holes. If I have a hole pattern, I make the first hole, thread it, then replicate it in a pattern. All accessible under the "Create" tab.

I saw that there is a Thread feature tool, but I suspect when I go that route - it isn't going to size my hole for me. Thus my comment about tap drill chart. We'll see.
I was hoping I was missing something.
It may size the hole for you. For example, when I need a 1/4-20 threaded hole, I make a 0.25" diameter hole, then apply the threads. When I inspect the hole diameter after threading, it's reduced to the diameter required by 1/4-20 UNC. Haven't checked all thread sizes to see if this is the case, YMMV.
Ha! It did resize the hole for me (even using cosmetic thread). So that solves one problem.
This could be a very very good thing. How many times have I seen users specify a 1/4 hole and then add a 1/4-20 thread designation.
This might eliminate the problem of oversizes holes rather than tap drill size.
Now if I can just figure out how to place multiple holes at once. Guess I'll have to add a pattern.
Adding multiple holes was added and accepted in the Idea Station.

Please give it a Kudo's anyway if this is important to you.

We really need a unified command for threaded holes.
The two-step process is pretty tedious.
I suppose this is in the works and imagine it is tied to the "Bolted Connection" stuff I am eagerly awaiting.
Not sure what the timeline might be on that though.
Maybe a separate feature request is in order so all the bases are covered and external threads are addressed too (which I suspect won't be part of the Bolted Connection effort).
Best,
Brian
There is a nice side benefit of the approach today.
Drill a clearance hole thru two parts then come back and thread only one of the parts.
You now have a nice associative clearance and taped hole.
Sketch point based multiple holes is commin' the 15th.
Hi Kevin,
I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the multiple hole feature. I see the option for creating multiple holes from sketch points in the tool, have that option selected, and I have my sketch points all ready, but I can't seem to be able to select any more than one point at a time. And Fusion doesn't remember the last hole's settings (!), so if I want to enter a lot of counterbored holes, I need to specify the parameters on each. I don't know if there is information in the help section, that appears to be down at the moment.
I made a screencast that I posted in the idea after implementaion. Hold the CMD(Mac) or CTRL(Windows) key when adding sketch points to the slection set for the hole locations.
Thanks for that. I tried shift, but not command.
I would like to review the thread feature for applying them at a pattern group. Like the example part showing in the attached screenshot, I did apply the thread feature to all the holes of a circular pattern whereby this thread group arises.
It looks like there's no possibility available to change the thread features all at once. Which approach for this workflow would be the best of changing them all at once ?
Also, if a thread feature is applied to a single hole and a need is there to modify it for applying the feature at all the holes of a pattern, Fusion doesn't remember the faces applied to. All the faces of the pattern are selectable while editing the feature but selecting more then one with the CMD hold, doesn't work.
I just went through the workflow. I note that even thought you can select multiple faces when creating a thread, it generates separate entities in the timeline. At this time, this appears to be how the application is designed to function.
The best thing to do would be to head over to the IdeaStation and post a product enhancement request.
