spline tangent to surface constraint

is there anyway to make a spline tangent to a surface in Fusion and not just snap with the endpoint to an edge of a surface?

Is the surface the "circle" face or lofted surface?

thanks

I think one method is to Project Cut Edge of the body on the the spline sketch, and then apply tangent constraint onto the spine and the projected curve.

That would be a doable workaround but it adds more complexity to the model.

Agree. It adds complexity. And my proposal won't work if the spline is 3D, meaning a non-planar curve. Actually there might be some confusion about how to define " spline tangent to surface". From your perspective, what should the expected result be?

Actually projecting 3D curves onto a surface works.

You can even also constraint a 3D curve to those projected curves - but only constraint coincident and tangent work and thus I do not have any more control in sculpting

the curve shape.

However for a 3D cuve I also would like to be able to snap the curve handle to the projected line - of course the constraints here only work because the projected curve is a line.

This is why there should be a g2 with editable weight constraint for the curve resulting more into a blend curve tool.
