Snap to intersection of solid body edge and plane

I am attempting to draw templates for extrution so I can cut pieces off my solid, I dont see an easy way to do this otherwise.

Anyway, When I have established a plane, I woudl expect to be able to scketch with snap to the intersection of a solid body edge to the plane, but there doesnt seem to be such a behaviour, are a lot of snap behaviours presently missing, or am I missing something?

Thanks.

I think we're all missing something when it comes to snaps Smiley Wink

Last I looked it was the top idea request.

Will Project Cut Edges (in sketch menu) do what you want?

I think Ron may be correct on this one. Using the project to sketch feature can allow you to have some sketch geometry to constrain to. Any chance you could post a screenshot?

Thanks,

I will try Project Cut Edges as highlighted when I next get to such a scenario.
