Smooth shape

Hey!

So i got this model that i made from extruding and chamfering a sketch. Now i want it more smooth, no sharp edges/bevels. How would you proceed? I tried fillet but it doesn't cut it, fist of fusion has crashed like 30 times when i tried, and when i got it done it doesn't give a good surface!

I'm not sure if this will work for you or not but you could try

1. Converting the B-Rep Solid into a Mesh Body (Create Base Feature > Modify > Mesh > B-Rep to Mesh (Hint** Use a Low refinement level) > Finish Form

2. Convert the Mesh to a Sculpt Body (Create Form > Modify > Convert)

See the below video for further clarification.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Sebastian,

Would it be possible for you to upload your data? I'm particularly interested in seeing if I can reproduce the fillet crashes.

Thanks!

Is this still an on going issue for you?  If so, please provide us with a model so that we can try and work on a solution for you.  Also, if you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and we make sure to get you an answer.

Oh! Sorry i totaly forgot about this! Anyway i solved it by making a new model and beeing more careful on the input for the fillet. It crashed when i dragged the arrow and it went to a too big value!

Great to hear that you were able to find a solution!  And sorry it took me so long to follow up to make sure everything is ok.

Do you recall if the crashing was repeatable with the fillet becoming too large?  If so, please feel free to share the model with us and we can take a look to make sure we avoid the crashing in the future.

If you hit any other snags moving forward, please reach out!
