After two hours, I think restarting Fusion 360 may be the only solution here. Before restarting, export an archive file (F3D) so that you can later upload the file.

Does this issue occur frequently?

This is another scenario where it may be helpful to have the diagnostic log file. If this happens again, can you post the diagnostic log file here?
