Problems connecting to online services from behind a proxy

I have installed Fusion360 on a domain machine, behind a 3rd party proxy server (ISP managed). Putting the address of the proxy server in to any of the options on the Network menu of settings isn't allowing Fusion360 to connect.

Could you let me know specific addresses or ports that need to be available for the Fusion360 client please? All I get is as per the picture attached/below.

Thanks,

David

David,

I apologize for the troubles getting Fusion 360 up and running. Can you confirm that you were able to successfully install Fusion 360? Did the installation fail? Is this first install on this machine/network or just new behavior? Were you  prompted to log into Fusion 360 with a sign-in dialogue after installing?

I am wondering if the solution posted in the below thread may help with your issue.

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Get-Help-with-Fusion-360/Can-t-open-Fusion-360/m-p/4488497/highlight/t...

How are your LAN setting configured? Check the Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center > (at the bottom)  Internet Options -> Connections tab -> LAN settings (Note: Internet Options also available through Internet Explorer > Tools pull down menu > Options)

How are you configuring the Network Preferences in Fusion 360?

Another issue that we've seen is that an incorrect time/date on the machine can cause issues with the log in. Is the time/date set to anything other than the current on that machine?

Thanks,

Hi David,

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble getting Fusion 360 to connect.  Once you installed Fusion 360, I assume you tried to connect without changing any Proxy setting in the Network Preferences in Fusion 360 and that didn't work!?

Hello,

The installation completed successfully, with no errors. This is the third install on a different computer, the problem persists. There was no prompt to login when Fusion360 was started.

LAN settings are configured through group policy - proxy and exceptions.

Have tried not configuring network settings and putting the proxy settings into all four options on the dropdown list, restarting Fusion360 each time - no joy.

The time and date are set by our domain controller and are correct.

I look forward to hearing from you! Smiley Happy

Hi David,

Do you have the same problem if you try to connect using a non-authenticating network such as home wifi, coffee shops, etc.!?

Please close this call now - Fusion360 is no longer required for our work.

Best regards,

David
