Post process adding too many files

I am running linuxcnc. Before the last update post processing would save one ngc file to disk. Now when I post process it saves a CNC, NGC and a basic text document. This is massively annoying. How do I make it stop?

can you tell me what post you are selecting?

Not sure exactly what you mean.
Post processor is for linuxcnc. I don't think it came with fusion but I think I got it from someone on here. DOn't exactly remember.

I hit post process for the toolpath which takes me to the PP window. Post configuration is EMC.cps. NG extension says .ngc which is correct but then when I post it posts two other files as well.
If it's beyond that I think you will need to give me more detail on what you are looking for.

Can you either attach the EMC.cps file or email it to camsupport@autodesk,com? it’s kind of hard to figure out the problem with it if i don’t have it 🙂

Remind me where I would find the EMC.cps file?

the easy way is to start like your going to post a program, select the "Setup" button, and then select "Open Folder"

Lol the forum wouldn't allow me to upload the cps file extension so I just changed it to .jpg so you will have to change it back.

I'm just getting the one NGC file when I post. You’re not hitting save in the text editor by any chance? Once you post the file is saved to disk.

Nope, in fusion I just select post process, then in post process just hit post and then choose the folder to save it to.
I actually just assumed that they were mirrors of the NGC file under different names but I just looked at them and they are actually different. Maybe you can make heads or tails of them.

It took a bit but I found it. If you go up to the top right and select your log in name, then select preferences. Under General, CAM uncheck “Beta Mode Enabled”.

Okay that did work. Thanks for the help.
Is this a bug in the Beta? If so is there somewhere to file a bug report or someone who should be notified?

No I don’t believe it’s a bug. When in beta mode these look like debug files so there is a something to look at when something fails.

As far as notifying someone you already have. My Name is Jeff Walters and I am the Senior Support Engineer, CAM for the Autodesk CAM products.Smiley Wink

Okay thanks.
It did not do this in beta mode before the last update so I figured something was wrong.
Am I loosing anything by not enabling beta mode right now?

I doubled checked with the developers and as I suspected this is more for debugging new features and has no advantage for users unless they are having issues.
