Pattern Feature not working?

I am trying to make a fixture plate. I want to pattern threaded 6-32 holes .5" eeach direction mixed in with 1/8" holes for dowel pins.

I can get everything set up correctly in pattern, feature. When I click accept nothing happens. I have tried checking and unchecking suppress feature as well.

Attached is the file with a paatern feature operation but nothing showing?

Hello,

If you Edit the pattern and hold the shift or command button depending on your OS so that you can select another object, choose Extrude 2.  This way you are going to pattern both the extrution and the thread.  Once you do this the pattern should come through correctly.

What is happening is that you patterned the thread, but the holes that thread was created on was not patterened as well.  Since the threads don't have anything to thread it doesn't show any geometry.

Cheers,

Hi Steve,

What I think is happening is when you are patterning you are choosing the threading to be patterned, but not the holes.  So, when you click ok the thread is trying to be applied to holes that are not there.  I have tried to pattern the holes separately without issue, as well as selecting both the hole and the threading and patterning them (shown below).  It might be just as easy to pattern the holes and then select the surfaces and apply the threading that you want.  Hope this helps!

I made a quick screencast to show how to pattern those holes.

Please review and let me know if this answers your question.

Thanks,
