offset problem

 

tried using offset to create line after line on this but wouldnt let me do anymore than one. 

 

its a tree stump made through a sketch and then pull. the offset was to be the age rings

There are some known limitations with offseting spline figures at this time. Would it be easier to create a custom appearance or apply a decal to the face? What is your intent by sketching out tree ring (if you don't mind me asking)? Is it for cosmetic reasons or do you plan to generate 3D geometry from it?

i don't need to generate any 3d geometry so decal or custom appearance would work fine if you could tell me how they can be done. ill try to share the project with you like you suggested
