Modifying a form inside of a form

Hopefully this is a simple question:

Create a simple T-Spline box.  Then create another form that is larger, and encompasses half of the original box.

When you go in to "edit form" on the first form only the faces that are outside of the other form are selectable.  The other form is there, but it is shaded out like a ghost.....but that ghost prevents you from clicking on the faces/edges/points that are inside of it.  I have "select through" enabled....maybe I am missing something, when I don't think that other ghosted forms should stop me from modifying the form I am editing?

Try holding down the left click button down for a full second or so. A list will appear that will allow you to select other entities that are located "under" your cursor. The below video is old, but the same feature still applies.

That does help, yes.....I was running into this: in the "edit form" command, when you are actually in it, you can select all items in the current form directly. If you go out of "edit form" and just run your mouse over, only the objects "outside" of all other bodies highlight. So, the behavior of the cursor in terms of selecting is different if you are in edit form or not. Thanks!

I will also throw out that if your need is to edit the inside form, you can make the outside one unselectable by right clicking on the body in the browser and toggling the selectable/ unselectable option. You can then select the inside form as if the outside were not there.
