missing step export - is ignored

here is another shortcoming in the export part of Fusion,

 

now it ignores doing a step export, but does all others fine

I'm using the knife data set you posted in a recent CER report, if that's the same one, and I can export STEP.

 

Did you try restarting Fusion or your computer?

 

Is it just this data set?

I did test other files and STEP does not work with ANY file and Fusion build.

the web interface produces STEp files just fine.

HI, the video was a bit unclear on my side. Did you mean that STEP files could not be exported from Fusion directly unless you used the Web Export?

From inside Fusion I cannot export any STEP file.

From the A360 web interface I can.

I cannot reproduce this issue.

 

Is it happening on all of your machines?

 

On a machine where you see this, can you export STEP as a different user?

nailed it that on my sides I can only export STEP to the downloads folder.

all other formats export fine to the desktop

The link reports that the file no longer exists.

 

Does this still happen after the update? I still cannot reproduce this on Windows or Mac.

Hi,

I tried to export in step format too.

Yesterday, was not possible, Fusion360 din't save the file.

Today I've updated to the Ultimate release and purchased the subscription. Now is possible to save in stp format. The file is created.

After the update the step report still failed but after a restart of the computer s all worked.

Hi Claas,

 

It seems to be the first launch of the product after an update kind of problem. As you mentioned once the machine or app is restarted the problem goes away. Please let us know if you see this problem again.

nope restarted fusion on a different computer
