Loft command rail control

How do I control the "rail" when I use loft. It only snaps to midpoint. I need to snap or control the angle when lofting circles.

You can just drag the endpoints of those "point mapping" lines.  See the attached video.

Yes, I'm dragging the "point mapping" lines but I like som control while dragging like angle snapping or better numerical angular input.

What would these angles be in relation too?

Does angle make sense on non circular profiles?

 

just trying to image how we make this a general solution.
