How to Dimension Things?

Hi All,

I spent a while building an accurate CAD model of a brushless outrunner motor for a research project, and right now I need to provide a labelled diagram as part of my project.  Does anyone know how to add dimensions to 3D models?  The "measure" tool only shows numbers for temporary inspection but doesn't actually create any dimension labels.

Thanks,

John

Currently, there are no 3D annotation commands in Fusion 360.

Which OS are you running Fusion 360 on? There is a drawing preview is available on Windows where you can add annotations and dimensions to drawing views. I think this would probably work the best if this is an option for you.

A work around may be to right click on sketches in the model browser and select Show Dimensions to have sketch dimensions show up when the sketch is displayed.

You may also let the Product Management team know you are interested in this feature by voting up Ideas in the IdeaStation.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
