I am trying to Create surface primitive shapes but any without success.
I have also seen the video below, but I can not find the surface primitive shapes as shown in the video.
When I am in Patch mode and I click on Create, I can only choose between Pach and Loft. Where are all the surface primitive shapes such as box, cylinder, sphere, etc.?

Right mouse click on the top node in your browser and then use the "Do not capture design history" command from teh context menu.
Do you now see the primities shapes come back in the toolbar?

Yes, I see the surface primities shapes for the first time:-)
Finally, I use these amazing tools that I have missed.
But why should I turn off the design history to make it work? It seems very odd.
This means that I have to choose between no design history or no surface primitive shapes. Big dilemma.
Yes, I know. Life isn't easy with so many conflicting choices 🙂
My understanding is that we will bring the two environments on par over time so you don't have to make such a tantalizing choice.
But we will need to give our developers some time to get there.
Bob
The Patch primitive commands are available while in Direct Modeling (DM) only. You can temporarily enter a DM environment with the Timeline still activated by using the Create Base Feature command in the Model work space > Create drop down menu. I've made a quick ScreenCast below to demonstrate this.
Please review and let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Thank you for clarifying this.
It's a really good solution until the design history is implentementeret for all surface tools.
Impressively quick and efficient support. The video guide is also brilliant.
