can you hand draw in MS paint or so the curvature you want?
3D splines are a bit a tricky think in engineering applications and not as easy as in Rhino.
What you might need are some helper elements like CPlanes to precisely construct the 3d curve.

You might be able to use the intersection curve to generate the 3D sketch you're looking for.

Ah yup I thought he wanted something different!
The intersection curve is actually a pretty fantastic tool - I wish Alias and such would have something like this! So useful in many cases!
