Have priorities for intersecting geometry in 3D

So, I've been wrestling with this model for a while. I need to add 6 projections outward from the bottom flange plane, outlined with the radial lines from center. I have tried trimming the lines, so as to get rid of the internal segments, which doesn't seem to work, and my ultimate goal is to project the surface surrounding each of the six holes. The only plane selection I can make happen is the entire bottom plane. I also don't seem to have any indication of a vertex or intersection at the ID with the 12 lines marking these segments. That seems to indicate to me that these lines are either not intersecting, or that I am missing some command sequence somewhere, or that the software has a problem of unknown nature.

See attached screen shot. This is essentially a flanged cup with 6 mounting holes, and intended castellated teeth at the mounting hole locations as indicated. There are a couple of construction planes in the screenshot, one of which I was trying to employ as the projection boundary, offset from the bottom surface. That also seemed to not work as I would have thought. I'm stumped.

Thanks

Matt

Please note that this got the wrong title applied somehow.
Thanks

If you edit the correct sketch in the browser or timeline, do the endpoints of the sketch entities show up?

Is the question how to project the edges of the holes into a sketch on an offset plane?

When you select Create Sketch from the sketch drop down menu, first thing that you need to select is the sketch plane that you would like to use. This can be a construction plane or a planar face of a body/component. You want to be sure to select the correct plane to sketch in. From there, you should use the Project command from the Sketch drop down  > Project/Include fly out menu to select the circular edge or face of each hole. This should created some projected sketch entities on the sketch plane that you selected.

One other thing to look out for is the light bulbs next to items in the browser. These indicate whether or not an item is visible. If you have hidden the sketch folder, sketches contained in that folder may not be visible.

I made a quick screencast that goes through the process of what I suspect you're trying to do. Please review this and let me know if this helps or not.

Best Regards,

Thanks, Nate -- I was having a "duh" moment (or hour) and skipped the plane selection step, as well as previous step of "Create Sketch", and I was apparently just selecting directly out of sketch menu. I deleted the radial lines, started the process correctly, and all worked as expected.

I notice that the reopen of the model I created yesterday appears to be officially saved in an isometric view position in which it was not when I left this yesterday (I think). Is that a routine activity for final save at end of session (standardized positioning by default), or more likely a failing of my memory? Thanks --
