Fusion STEP export problem when importing into SolidWorks

This is the Fusion screenshot:

And this is how it gets into SolidWorks:

The Rhino STEP file will bug out as well.

However when opening the Fusion STEP in Alias and exorting as STEP again it works.

So it seems Fusion (and Rhino) do something that makes SolidWorks not like it.

Here are the step files:

Claas,

I imported both files into Inventor and they did not produce any errors (missing faces as you show them).  Can you attach the .f3d file?  We can see if any of the other geometry is coming through the translation.

I am not surprised that also Inventor works well - just not SolidWorks.

But Alias must export STEP in a way that works better with SW than what Fusion and Rhino do.

Here is the Fusion file

Claas,

This appears to be a problem with SolidWorks (SW).  I don't know what import options SW will have for .STEP files but you should start there.

can be must not be, because it can also be that F might do something to the STEP Alias does not.

Claas,

Some developers are looking into this on our end to make sure our .STEP output from Fusion is not the problem.

Thanks,

Andy
