First of all, a semi-related rant: I've yet to go more than 15 minutes without Fusion 360 crashing in OSX. I'm not exaggerating. I've never used a more unstable application, on OSX or Windows. I'd have ditched it ages ago if I didn't see the potential.
My normal behavior is to compulsively save my work. That comes with a slight cost though since saves lock the interface and can take from a few seconds to half a minute.
Today, while making a new sketch in a newly created design I started to add a two point rectangle.
Fusion 360 crashed. Not a big suprise.
What was a surprise was discovering that after the crash I can no longer create any new designs or edit any existing designs. I don't get any feedback or errors in the interface. Just "silence."
The good news is that there's little chance of Fusion 360 crashing now. The bad news is that the software is completely unsable, my designs completely locked up within it.
What's the remedy?
Thank you for posting your experience. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I'm happy that you see the potential of Fusion 360. It sounds like you may need to perform a clean uninstall of Fusion 360 and then reinstall the application to get the application back up and running quickly.
The below link provides directions for a clean uninstall.
A general tip that may help is to optimize the settings in Fusion 360.
Below is a collection of knowledge articles designed to improve the experience on a Mac OS. You may review these to see if the Energy Saver Settings or gesture based navigation are impacting stability.
I hope these help, please keep us updated on your progress.
Thanks,
