Creating a pattern of an assembly breaks some joint constraint

I created a circular pattern of the Lamp arm assy:1 (see attached screenshot). This broke some of the rigid joint constraints within the pattered insance Lamp arm assembly:2.

The fasterners are all oriented as if they were joined with the other part in their un-joined original (0,0,0) coordinates when first inserted into the design.

This applies only to the instance Lamp arm assembly:2 The original Lamp arm assy:1 is still fine.

No problem! I believe the " being awesome" belongs to you guys for providing the first true mechanical CAD experience that runs natively on the Mac platform.

Hello,

If you are able to share the file that would be a lot of help for us, this way I can make sure that I am seeing the same thing as you are.  You can either upload it to the forums or send it to my email below.

Cheers,

Hi Joe,

I have shared the projet with you. However, it may not be of much use to debug the problem as I've continued to work on it hte probelem(s) were indirectly corrected.

While continuing to work the specific problem in this thread corrected itsel and IIRC I fixed a problem with one of the items in the timeline that was highlighted in yellow.

Then the same kind of problem reappeared with another asembly and another joint operation. I noticed that one of the items in the timeline was highlighted with a yellow rectangle indicating a problem. When that problem was corrected the issue with the broken joint constraints also went away.

I've actually been trying to find the problem in one of the older versions to provide you ewith a file that shows the problem but oddly enough I cannot see it in any of the 80 versions.

Please let me know if you wan tto contiue to work on thr ssue or if you put it on hold. In the later is the case I'l accept it as a solution.

Thank you for the invite.  I will take a look at some of the older versions and see if I can track down the issue, there shouldn't be any reason you need to spend time looking since I can export out a version and play with it from there.  If I see anything specific I will try to update this thread.

Glad things got figured out. 🙂

Cheers,
