Circular and rectangular pattern tool

After I duplicate items with the circular or rectangular tool, I can no longer trim them.

Could you make a Screencast of this issue? I tried to reproduce this issue, but I found that I can still use the Sculpt > Modify > Trim tool after patterning surface bodies. I found the same to be true for the split command in the Model Workspace.

Thanks,

Hi!
Actually, I was in Model > Sketch > Trim.
I made a circle with with two perpendicular diameters. I had no problem trimming segments of the circle and the cross. If I then used the circular array tool to make three of the circles, I could no longer use the trim tool to trim segments of the circle and cross. I will try to send you a video of the problem, but that could take a while.
Thanks, Doug

The sketch trim command didn't even cross my mind! Thanks for reporting this. I can reproduce this behavior as well. I'll have to do a bit more research. I will circle back and let you know what I find out.

Thanks,

Doug,

Thanks again for posting this question. I overlooked this originally. There is a caveat when trimming patterned sketch entities. When you create a sketch pattern, there is a small glyph that will enable you to re-edit that sketch pattern at a later time. At this time, this will prevent you from being able to trim patterned sketch entities. You can choose to delete the glyph, which will remove the ability to later edit the sketch pattern, and then trim the sketch entities. I've made a short screencast below to demonstrate this.

Please review the screencast and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Thanks!!
My school did not allow the screencast, but I found the glyph. Great.
One last quicky. I could not find a trim tool under Sculpt > Modify > Trim. Any thoughts.
